Double glazing is made of two or more layers of parallel glass with a distance of a few millimeters, and the space between the glasses is usually filled by the manufacturer with inert gases such as argon and …. This empty space acts as an insulator and prevents the passage of sound and the exchange of temperature inside the house with the outside environment. In the following, you will get acquainted with its types and buying tips.

Windows are an important and integral part of buildings, but in today’s world, the noise that enters the house through these windows, as well as the loss of energy through the windows, is one of the problems that afflict the general public, especially in Big cities are involved. Double-glazed laminate was a solution that engineers have come up with to solve this problem of traditional windows, and they are the best option to deal with noise pollution and, more importantly, to prevent energy waste.
Advantages of double glazing
During the last decade, all builders have been required to use double-glazed glass in the construction of all residential, commercial, office, etc. buildings, and the reason is that it has the following advantages:
energy saving
Noise reduction
Increase safety
Rising property values
Prevent the passage of UV rays
No color change in different weather conditions
Fire and earthquake resistance
Long life and environmental compatibility
No steam on the glass
High variety in color scheme
Different types of double glazing
Types of double glazing
There are different types of double glazed windows, which are usually made by putting different glass together with a double glazed design:
Simple: Made of two simple flute glasses.
Colored: It has a colored glass wall and a simple glass layer.
Reflex: Consists of a layer of reflex glass and a plain glass wall.
Double glazed Securite glass
As you know, Securite glass is made in a process with a temperature of nearly 700 degrees Celsius. In this process, special materials are placed on the glass and after this stage, the glass is placed in cold air, the resistance of which will increase many times. It is good to know that the resistance of Securite glass is many times higher than ordinary glass because it is made of a layer of Securite glass next to a simple glass wall and is used in high-risk places.
Double laminated glass
This type of glass is one of the types of glass that has been very popular in recent years, and if we want to point out the most important advantages of this glass, we can point out that it has a lower heat exchange coefficient than laminated double-glazed glass.
Also, one of the most important advantages is less sound transmission, and another important point is the very high security of this glass, which has made it very practical. Double-walled laminated glass is made of one layer of laminated glass next to a simple glass wall or two layers of laminated glass.
Double glazed spider glass
How to connect spider glasses is point and spider glass is considered as a self-standing and modern glass. In addition to having high transparency, double-walled spider glass has a very suitable and light weight, and on the other hand, it shows a very high impact resistance. This type of glass has entered the market in recent years, and with the help of an O-ring, four-walled spider glasses can also be produced.
Price of double glazing

The price of glass, like most objects, depends on the price of raw materials. Of course, the price of these glasses depends on various factors, for example, the quality of the ingredients, transparency, thickness of the glass, dimensions and size, etc. Of course, the higher the safety and resistance of double-glazed glass against impact and storm, etc. Its price also increases.
Buy double glazing
When buying, make sure that the spacer is integrated and that there are argon gas injection valves in the corners. If your home or workplace is near highways, be sure to use a combination of laminated glass and double glazing.
These glasses must be produced in a factory with a specific resume and identity card. Use reflective glass if the incoming light is more than you need.
Steps of making double glazing
In our country, these glasses are made in the following two ways:
1. Using aluminum spacer
2. Using a thermal spacer
In the first method, insulating adhesive is needed to produce glass, but in the second method, we need a thermal press table.
Making glass with thermal spacer:
To measure the frame (aluminum or UPVC), we first measure from the first inner edge to the second outer edge. Then add 2.8 cm to the length of this number and consider it. The number mentioned may vary depending on the profile. Then we cut the glass according to the measurement and considering the intended application.
Double-glazed thermal spacers are cut to fit the size of each glass. Note that perforated spacers are used to enter the gas. The inside of the spacers is filled with moisture-proof material and the lengths and widths of the spacers are connected from the corners. When the spacer is complete, it is placed on one of the glasses and the other glass is placed on it.
Using a suitable sealing adhesive, the distance between the two glasses is sealed. To inject the gas, two perforated corners in the diameter of the glass are used and with the help of the gas injection machine, argon gas enters from one side and directs the air inside the glass to the other side of the perforated corner to exit. After gas injection, the sealing will be complete.
